FRANKLIN MOTORISTS.
BRANCH OF ASSOCIATION. A review of the work of Lho Franklin agency of the Auckland Automobilo Association during the past year was given by the chairman of the local committee, Mr. G. T. Proude, who presided at the annual reunion of the agency at Pukekohe last evening. lie said the agency had been formed in 1925, when there was a membership of 80. In the intervening five years the total had increased to 749, of which 200 bad been enrolled during the past year. "The Auckland Automobile Association has a greater membership than all the other kindred associations in the North Island," said Mr. A. Grayson, president of the association. "There were registered last year about 45,000 motor vehicles in the Auckland Province, which is the association's district, and we have 14,000 members" The president congratulated the local agency on its membership and said a fulltime patrol would be given to the district when 1000 members had been enrolled.
