ARGENTINE MEAT FREIGHTS

It is interesting io read that the annual meeting of tho Iloulder Lino, Limited, in London in January, Sir Frederic Lewis, who presided in the absence of tho chairman, Mr. Frank Houlder, in Argentina, reported that gross profit for tho yoar showed a reduction of about £19,000, compared with tho previous year. This was partly duo to tho fact that from July last, tho rates of freight paid on meat shipments from South America, suffered a reduction in accordanco with tho conditions of tho agreements with (ho various meat companies. There was also, again some limitation of moat shipments throughout the year from South America, with tho result that it was not possible to secure tho benefits of full continuous employment of the whole of tho company's vessels.
