J, Savage and Mr. H. M. Rushworth, M.P.'s, left for Wellington last evening. Dr. J. E. Borland, of London, arrived at Wellington by the Tamaroa from London yesterday. He is visiting the Dominion as an examiner for the Trinity College of Music, London. • The Rev. T. H. Burton, of Hikurangi, has been recommended for appointment to the Otorohanga Presbyterian charge and it is expected that the formal appointment will be made this week. Mr. R. A. Comette, Mr. F. C. Johansen, Mr. L. Martin and Mr. E. T. Arnott, of Wellington, Mr._ A. E. Horsfall, of New Plymouth, and Mr. M. J. Cohen, of Hastings, are at the Star Hotel
