HAMILTON WORKS LOAN.
£10,400 TO BE RAISED. RELIEF FOR UNEMPLOYED. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] HAMILTON, Wednesday. Advice has been received by th© Hamilton Borough Council that tho Local Loans Board has approved of tho council's proposal to raise £10,400 for the purpose of cutting down the hill in Anglesea Street and for providing a second outlet from the centre of the town to Ward Street. A further project will be tho construction of a culvert in Maeroa Street. Tho work, which will bo commenced immediately, is designed to givo work to 94 men in the town who are at present unemployed.
