MUNICIPAL OFFICERS.
SOCIAL IN TOWN HALL. Bamboo foliage, flax plants and small flowering pot plants arranged 011 the stage, and bine and white streamers strung overhead, mado artistic decorations in tho Town Hall concert chambei last evoriing when tho Auckland Municipal Officers' Social Club held its first function of the year. A varied programme of musical items, and a comedy sketch, "Between tho Soup and tho Savoury," was presented betweon tho dances, and was thoroughly enjoyed by tho large num bcr present. Tables were placed on both sides of tho hall for those who prefened cards, and Meredith's Adelphi Band ren dered excellent dance music. Taking part in the plav wore Miss H. Taylor, Miss K. Christie, and Miss M. Davey, while songs by Mr. L. O'Malley and violin solos by Mr. N. Walker were equally enjoyed. Among those present wore:—Mrs. J. B. Paterson, who wpre a frock of black georgette embroidered with jet beads; Miss A. Basten, black lace and georgette; Mrs. Alfred Kidd, royal blue and primrose spotted velvet; Mrs. J. N. Woollams, floral ring velvet; Mrs. K. Fuiton, pink taffeta; Mrs. C. Wheeler, black ninon and gold lace; Mrs. S. 0. Johnson, green crepe de chine; Mrs. Wedgwood, beige georgette; Mrs. C. R- Rodgers, cyclamen crepe do chine and gold lace; Mrs. H. Sommervillo, oyster satin; Mrs. Joyce, green crepo de chine; Mrs. G. Stroud, shell pink taffeta; Mrs. C. Bland, black georgette with silver coateo; Mrs R. C Robinson, black lace; Mrs. D. Birch, wistaria-blue .georgette and gold laco with a flame and gold shawl; Mrs. Barber, lime georgette; Mrs. W McMillan, black Ince; Mrs. Bonder, Betty-blno embossed chenille georgette; Mrs. J. Brooks, nig ger brown embossed georgetto; Mrs I W M. Ashbv, apricot crepe de chine. Mrs. J Carlaw was in dolphinium blue georgetto; Miss Basten, oyster lace; Miss Lundon, gold lame bodico and pastelshaded tulle skirt; Miss Evans, delft blue georgette; Miss F. Dickens, cherry georgette; Miss B. Roberts, mist blue taffeta; Miss Joyce HalHwell, rose pink georgetto and lace; Miss J. Dive, blue crepo do chino; Miss P. Duncan, anklelength frock of shaded frilled georgette; Miss D- Wheeler, lettuce green taffeta and georgetto; Miss M. Ro\vbottoni, green lace with a gold shoulder posy; Miss B. Johnson, green satin with a lace skirt; Miss B. Douglas (Morrinsville), powder blue crepo do chino; Miss G. Butler, black panne velvot; Miss K. Quinn, Name moire taffeta with black sequinued coatee; Miss A. Collings, black georgette; Miss M- McAuley, white and silver lace; Miss J. Barry, oau de nil satin; Miss G. Fitness, apricot georgette; Miss M. CooperSmith, cherry taffeta; Miss N Payne, white satin; Miss M. Gordon, peach georgetto.
