SAWMILL BURNED.

MEN THROWN OUT OF WORK. [BY TELEGRAM!.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] TAIHAPE. Tuesday. A sawmill at Omatano, near Taihape, owned by Mr. C. O. Gibbs, of Taihape, was burned to the ground last evening. Nothing was saved. ' Tho fire occurred between midnight and 12.30 a.m. Thero was no timber at the mill. The structure was covered by insurance. About thirty men employed at tho mill aro thrown out of employment. The mill was duo to close down at tho end of August as it was anticipated there would bo no more bush left by that time. This is the second occasion on which Mr. Gibbs' mill at Omatano has beon destroyed by fire.
