WINTER EXHIBITION.

GOOD ENTRIES RECEIVED. Entries in all classes far the forthcoming Auckland Winter Exhibits en, excepting poultry, pigeons, dogs, bakers' bread and the "Auckland Gas Company's special cake competition, have closed, and shew a substantial increase ever any previous show. Entries for the Kennel Club's show will close nest Friday, for the Poultry Club Show on July 1, and for the bakers' bread competition, the Gal Company's cake competition, and the scone-baking competition on July 4, A fine exhibit of bacon has been secured from Palmerston North, a space cf about, SOft. having been set aside to show bacon from the various breeds of pigs and the result of various types of feeding on tie quality and flavour of tha i . bacon. The local exhibitors, of bacon are making an effective display and the whole will present the largest and most instructive bacon exhibit seen at the exhibition.
