POLICY OF EXTENSIONS. INCREASE IN CURRENT SALES. The Waitemaia Electric-Power Board met yesterday, t lie chairman, Mr. G. Trevithiek, presiding. A recommendation from the General Purposes Committee that before any future extensions were authorised the secretary should present a report giving the engineer's estimated capital cost of the proposed work, together with the probable immediate and future revenue to be derived, was adopted. The board confirmed a recommendation that the co operation of consumers should be sought from time to time in the careful use of current during peak hours while the Arapuni station was closed. The secretary, .Mr. A. Main, reported that the gross sales of current for the past month amounted to £6076. an in crease of £897 as compared with the same month last year. The sales for the two months ended May 31 totalled £11,299, an increase of £lßls, as compared with the corresponding period last'year. it was decided to donate £2 2s to the Auckland Harbour Bridge -Association, members stating that the bridge would result in new business for the hoard. A welcome was extended to Mr. .J. A. 'Algie, who had been appointed to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation oi Mr. J. W. Hayden.
