The winner was Miss O'Shea, Maungakaramea, who secured 9619 votes. Miss Dot Brown, City, 4579 votes, was second, and Miss J. Whitman, Old Boys, was third with 4150 votes. As a result of the carnival the union will be able to meet the levy for the North Auckland touring team, and will have a surplus after allocating 15 per cent, of the gross takings to the clubs l concerned. ——_
