YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN SOUTH. Auckland. —The weather yesterday was fine but cold, with a light wind from the south-east. The sky was overcast throughout the day. The barometer showed littlo movement, and was steady last-evening-at 30.20 in. Wellington.—The weather yesterday was fine, with a cold light southerly wind. Christchurch.—The weather, after 12 degrees of frost, was bright, sunny and cold, the maximum temperature being 46 degrees. The very light north-east wind that was blowing had a ka?n edge to it. The barometer is falling slowly ond now the reading is 30.21 in. Dunedin.—The weather was perfect yesterday, the sun shining from a cloudless sky. The wind was very light from the south-west and tho maximum temperature was 55deg. The barometer was high and tho reading in the evening was 30.12 m.
