NORTH ISLAND ASSOCIATION. OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR. [Br TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] PALMERSTON NORTH. Thursday. It was reported at the conference of the North Island Agricultural and Pastoral Association to-day that 51 associations were affiliated, with only five standing out. Officers were elected as follows: —President, Mr. J. M. James (Wairarapa); vicepresidents, Messrs. H. B. Stuckev (Dannevirke) and J. T. F. Mitchell (Auckland); treasurer, Mr. M. A. Conway (Manawatu); committee, Messrs. D. Ross (Wanganui), B. N? Sandilands (Feilding), H. J. Richards (Levin). S. Speedy (Dannevirke), C. E. "Vile (Marton), H. G. Leven (Tauranga), L. W. Nelson (Whangarei), W. F. McLaren (Masterton). H. S. M. Quigley (Dannevirke), L. H. Smart (Carterton). The committee was instructed to draw up a standard set of regulations for affiliated shows, with the idea of arriving at uniformity in working. It was also instructed to compile an official list of judges. It. was decided to arrange a meeting with (lie South Island agricultural and pastoral associations with a view of bringing a New Zealand Conference into being.
