EGYPTIAN CABINET.

MEMBERS AIL RESIGN.

king vetoes measures.

OWN AUTHORITY CHALLENGED.

POLITICAL TANGLE CREATED.

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrifflrt. {StiteiTed June IS, 10.23 p.m.'' CAIRO, June IT. The Prime Minister of Egypt, Nahas Pasha, and his Cabinet have resigned owini to King Fuad's refusal to sign bills for the protection of the Constitution, including penalties against any Minister for infringing its provisions. The measures were designed to consolidate the Wafd Party's position. Consequently the}' were regarded as being akin to a challenge to the King's aul horitr.

The Chamber of Deputies, after hearing Nanus Pasha's announcement of his resignation, without/ a dissentient rote passed a motion ox confidence in the Cabinet.

The situation is most difficult because, owing to the overwhelming Wafdist majority in the Chamber nobody but a Wafdist would form a new Ministry. It is believed to be significant that King Fuad has not accepted Nahas' resignation. Probably Parliament will be dissolved, necessitating another election within six months.
