[BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAURANGA, Wednesday.

The Tanranga Borough Council at its meeting last evening was advised by the Rotorua Borough Council that the latter has received replies from all local bodies within No. 3 Highways District and each has stated it has no desire for a conference regarding tho allocation of heavy traffic licence fees, but is prepared to continue the present system oi allocation for another year. Tlie Valuer-General, in reply to a letter from the Borough Council, states that in view of (he amount of revision work already in hand,., he can see no prospect of being able to revise the valuations in the Tanranga borough this year. lie expects to put tho work in hand so as to supply the council with a new roll for 1932-0. The Tanranga Hospital Board advised tho council that the levy on the council this vcar would amount to £909.
