. Logan's Prido wm indulged in some solid work without the hopples, und another to oxecuto a serviceable task was Lady Author. Warplano and Torpedo Hnon, who wero unhoppied, worked soundly over several circuits, both pacing with plenty of freedom. Warplane is in good heart and should make u hold showing off the limit in tho 2.11 mile ovont on Saturday.
Nelson Girl trotted solidly over a couple of miles on the outsido of the dirt track. If she would go as well as she does on the track, this mare would have possibilities among the elow-olass trotters. Mountain Dell was hoppled up and oncompassed several rounds at a solid apeed. She ia to be driven in her engagements at tho meeting by P. J. Smith. Evelyn Locanda's Task. Evolyn Locanda (T. W. Gilchrist visited Otahuku with Direct Action on Tuesday afternoon. Tho trotter was worked on tho Grass, but left his feet when under pressure. Ilia effort did not please. Some Dillon was asked to go over a mile and a-half on Tuesday afternoon, and the chestnut gelding got through hia essay in a satisfactory manner. Some Dillon has raced consistently since hie initial etTnrt in December, and as he can both go fast and stay, he tdiould keep the opposition busy in his races at the meeting. It was an off morning at Otahuku yesterday. and there was nothing of interest on the track, although Carmel, Invader nnd Writer were out doing useful exercise. C. S. Donald's charges all look bright and should not be lacking in condition when required to race on Saturday. Realty was geared ut> and asked. to go a mile and a-half on the clay track.
