FIRST YEAR'S REPORT.
DIVIDEND OF 3£ PER CENT.

Tho first annual meeting of shareholders of Consolidated Brick and Pipe Investments, Limited, was held to-day. Mr. T. E. Clark, chairman of directors, who presided, stated that for tho period under review tho company's investments yielded dividends amounting to £21,641. Tho recommendation for tho payment of a dividend of per cent, on the paid-up capital, amounting to £19,496, was carried and directors' honoraria of £3OO approved. This loft a balance to bo carried forward of £1844 17s 6d.
Tho report stated that in addition to tho present dividend shareholders received in October an interim dividend for their holdings in Amalgamated Brick and Pipe Company, Ltd., and Amalgamated Brick and Pipo (Wellington), Ltd. Administration expenses, which wero purely nominal, wero borno by the subsidiary companies. Tho balance-sheet shows that the capital consists of' 600,000 shares of £1 each, of which 558,730 shares have been issued. As thero is 32s 6d uncalled on 2700 shares, tho paid-up capital amounts to £557,042 10s. Tho assets consist of shares in other companies, £556,792 10s, and sundry debtors £21,891 7s sd.
