REFORM AND ROTORUA.
NO CANDIDATE SELECTED.
"A statement has been published which conveys a wrong impression regarding tlio candidature for llio Rotorua seat in tho Reform Party's interest at (he next general election,'' said Mr. B. Gordon Edwards, Auckland divisional organiser of the Reform League, yesterday.
"Ft has been stated that Mr. W. R. liOwry, of Morrinsville, has boon selected mh tho Reform candidate," said Mr. Edwards. "It appears that, instead of Mr. Lowiy being (lie candidate, ho has been asked by some Reform supporters to "'Tor himself as a prospective candidate. 'I he constitution and rules of the Reform organisation make it necessary for the candidate to bo selected and approved l'.Y Reform supporters in the electorate. In the event of thero being more than otic aspirant for tho nomination, they must, abide by the result of a selection ballot made at a conference of delegates from all parts of the electorate. So far the organisation has not dealt with tho question of selecting a candidate for tho Uotorua seat."
