STATEMENT FROM WELLINGTON.

[BY TELEGRAPTI. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday.

It was announced late this evening that Sir Joseph Ward was weaker than bo has been since his return from Rotorua, where ho spent a long timo undergoing treatment.

Sir Joseph, who ,is a member of the Cabinet without portfolio, is living at one of the Ministerial residences in Molesworth Street.

Dr. J. D. C. Duncan, who has been attending Sir Joseph, has returned to Rotorua.
