INCIDENT IN THEATRE.
TWO MEN SENT FOR TRIAL
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY ALLEGED
[nv TELEGKAPH. —PHESS ASSOCIATION.] WKLLIXGTON. Wednesday. Two men, John Bernard McDonald, aged 29, slaughterman, and James Olsen, aged 36, labourer, who wero found on the premises of tho Grand Opera ITousc on the night of May 10, wero to-day commit ted for trial on charges of attempting to break and enter the counting house of J. G. Williamson, New Zealand, Limited, with intent to commit a crime. They were also charged with being rogues and vagabonds in that they wero found by night without lawful excuse iy the Grand Opera building. Evidence was given that tho night watchman found a broken file in a lock and summoned tho police, a search revealing tho two men hiding behind seats in the stalls.
