LAND AGENT CHARGED.

CROWN PROPERTY INVOLVED.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORIIESPONE'ENT. ] HAMILTON, Tuesday. A Hamilton land agent, John William Moreland, was charged in tho Hamilton Magistrate's Court to-day with the theft of £2O, the property of tho Minister of Lands. Detective-Sergeant Thompson stated that two other charges involving £52 wero pending. An application for tho suppression of accused's name was refused. Accused was remanded until May 28, bail being allowed.
