DEATHS EXPLAINED.
BODIES FOUND IN FLAT. GAS ESCAPES FROM ROOM. LONDON, May 13. A most; puzzling discovery was explained at au inquest at Blackpool concerning the deaths of William Parkes and James Becconsall, who were found dead in Becconsall's flat, sitting on a couch facing each other wearing overcoats. There were no signs of injury, poison, or of any weapon. The affair was a baffling mystery until it was discovered to be a case of suicide. The men had turned on the gas and died. Becconsall's two small sons, seeing the men as they thought asleep, went out leaving the door open. Thus the air drove the gas from the honse. The boys were discovered in the morning crying because they could not waken their father. Both the men had been drinking, and had been heard to say they were going to kill themselves.
