A further remand was made in the Police Court yesterday when Eugene Hugh Fischer, aged 49, engineer, was charged with the fheft of the cutter Maroro, valued at £350, the property of Laurence Pitcher, at Auckland, on November 18. In applying for a remand until Wednesday next, Mr. Allan Moody, who appeared for accused, said there was a possibility of a settlement out of Court. No objection to the application was raised by Mr. Osburne Lilly, who was appearing for the prosecution. Bail was renewed in Fischer's own recognisance of £2OO.
