Sara, of Dunedin, and Captain M. (5' -McGregor, of Hamilton,, arc at the Hotel Ca rgeri. The Rt. Hon. J. G. Conies, Leader of the Opposition, arrived yesterday from Dargaville and left in the evening fo r Wellington. Mr. J. R. Fow, Mayor of Hamilton, left for Wellington last evening !o confer with officials of Ihe Public Works Depart, merit and the Treasury on borough matters. Dr. E. Mnrsden. secretary of the Department of .Scientific and industrial R e . ] search, arrived in Auckland from Wellington yesterday, and is at the Star Hotel. He expects to remain hero until Saturday. Mr. T. F. Y. Seddon, chairman of the War Pensions Roan); and Mr. ,T. I). Harper and Dr. A. W. Izard, members of the board, are in Auckland. The board will sit to-morrow and will then visit Hamilton and Rotorun. Bishop Liston left last evening for Gisborne, where lie will lay the foundationstone of the Gisborne Convent on Sunday. On the following Sunday ho will bless and open the newly-erected. Roman Catholic church at Piopio. Mr. F. W. Fx ley and Mr. C. E. Dorld, of Wellington, Mr. A. E. T. Gordon and Mr. A. E. Armstrong, of- Christ church, Mr. H. C. Fergusson, of Dunedin, and Mr. F. W T . Duckworth, of New Plymouth, are at the Central Hotel.
