MANAWARU BALL.

CHILDREN IN FANCY DRESS.

Tho children's fancy dress ball which was held in the Manawaru Hall last week in aid of tho dental clinic was a very bright and successful event. The hall had been charmingly decorated by the teachers and children and the scene as the latter went through tho variations of the grand march was most attractive. A programme of spectacular dances followed,' among which the minuet, waltz received special attention. Excellent music was played by Davidson's Orchestra and Miss L. Clark. When the children's programme was ended dancing by the adults took place. The school staff was responsible for the social■ success of the evening.
