Play_ was even until the last ten minutes, when Ramblers, showing better staying power than their opponents, added two tries, one of which was converted, and made the final score: Ramblers, 19; "White Star, 8. . The other senior match at Pukekohc was between Patumahoe and a re-cently-formed Maori team, the Kia Oras. who played in the competition for the first time. Tauranga.— I The Tauranga Rugby Union's championships vvere continued this afternoon in ideal weather. Two names were played in senior grade for the Jordan Cup. Huimai defeated Cadets Old Boys by 12 points to 0. Tries for Huimai were registered by W. Keno, It. Ngatai, K. McLeod and K. Ainslie. Athletics beat Te Puna by 19 points to 0. For Athletics E. lies (2). A. Tassel] and W. Edwards scored tries, and P. Kensington kicked a penalty goal and converted two tries. Two games in the junior grade (Oliver Cup) v.ero played. Athletics defesi(«'d Huimai by 20 to 0. Tries for the winners were scored by R. Cambie, O. Hay man and M. Hartnett, while C. Faulkner kicked a penalty goal, a field goal and converted two tries. Cadets Old Boys defeated High School by M to G. Scores for Cadets were gained by I. Walker, J. Bear, Ueke and C. Rhodes, one try being converted by 1. Walker. For High School F. Kecnan scored and G. Douglas kicked u penalty 'goal. Paeroa.—ln the senior grade West v. Hikutaia the latter team fielded two men Within a minute of the kick-off Pease, one of West's forwards, raced over j the line and scored. From a loose rush j Carrick secured end making a irood opening transferred to Taylor, who scored. Swann converted. Later Moloney, for Hikutaia. secured about the twenty-five and dropped a goal. In the second quarter Carrick (a promising young forward) secured in the ruck, and. outpacing his opponents, transferred to Poland, who scored. Carrick later obtained rear tho line and worked his way over, making the half-time scores:—West. 14; Hikutaia, 4. Hikutaia opened the attack by scoring early in the second half. Howard started the rush and the effort resulted in Royal scoring and converting. A bolo effort, by Wells, who secured beyond the half-way mark, and raced through the opposing backs, resulted in a further try for West. Lnte' Brown scored for West, making the final scores:—West, 20, Hikutaia, 9. In the junior grade East defeated Suburbs by 3 to 0, after an even and well-contested game. Carlson played a fine game for the winners and should be sure of a place in the Waikato representative team. In the Arapuni v. Wardville game a penalty goal by Hall gave victory to tho former team. At I'utaruru. Patctcre had no difficulty in defeating the home side by 18 points to 3. Waipa.—The Waipa Rugby Union's championship competitions wero continued to-day. At Albert Park. Rovers seniors defeated Pironsiia by 19 points to 3, after a keen came. Pirongia held its opponents in tiio fitst half but could not keep it up. To Awarnutu juniors defeated Rovers juniors by 19 points to 0. The game was six-all at half time, but Te Awarnutu had the ad vantage f or tho rest of tho game. Rovers thirds defeated Kihikilli by 10 points to 0. The junior match, Kihikihi v. PirongiaOhaupo, was abandoned owing to the latter team heiirr unable tg keep it" engagement. A senior match. Kihikihi v.
