musical society concert. JUVENILE FORESTERS' FUNCTION. A musical niul dramatic entertainment in aid of tlieir funds was given by the members of the Henderson Musical Society ill. tho week-end in I lie Henderson Town Ilall. The first part of the programme consisted of part songs by (he choir, vocal solos by the Misses Skinner and Parr and Mr. Hockcn, humorous recitations by Miss Duckering and Mr. Clegg, and piano solos by Miss Skinner. Mrs. do Montalk acted | ;l s accompanist. The second part of tiie 1 programme consisted of a one-act play I entitled " A Bathroom Comedy," the chief 1 character being taken by Miss Parr. The ■ rest of the cast was Misses X. do Montalk ami 11. Perkins and Messrs. CI. A Holy, S. Gaily and 11. Allen, j ..The first anniversary of Court Fawns of the Forest No. 7, Ancient Order of Foresters (Juveniles), was celebrated at a tea and social held in the Forester's Hall. There was a full attendance of members, and the visitors included the district chief ranger, Brother King, the district secretary, Brother Darlow, and tho supeintendent of Juvenile Foresters, Brother Osborne. The toast, " Juvenile Foresters," was proposed by Brother Ilarkins and responded to by Brother Osborne. The toast of the district executive was proposed by Brother llarwood and responded to by Brother King, D.G.11., and "Visiting Courts" was proposed by Brother C. F. Brookes and responded to by Brother Jarrat. Mrs. J. Collings presided at the piano. Short addresses were given by Brother Darlow and Brother W. Havlhorrithwaite, president of the court, who reviewed tho progress rnadu and referred especially to Biothor C. F. Brookes,' the secretary. A short programme of musical and elocutionary items was then given, vocal solos being contributed by Brother J.. Collings, and humorous recitations by Brother Eccles and Miss Brown. The position of tho court is highly satisfactory.
