A telegram was received from tho Minister of Agriculture, Hon. G. \\. Forbes, at a meeting of the executive of the Wliangarei Agricultural and Pastoral Society at tho week-end, stating that it was impracticable to arrange an exhibit by the Department ol Agriculture this year at the winter show. In view of tho desirability of curtailing expenditure it was decided recently to reduce the number of exhibits until the matter was considered by Cabinet. The State Forestry Department would inako it 3 usual exhibit.
