MISSION IN SUDAN.

[BV TELECRAI'H. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Monday.

A farewell to Miss Annie Thomas, of Hamilton, who is leaving shortly for the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan to undertake missionary work, was tendered by a gathering under the auspices of the local commitleo of the Sudan United Mission this evening. Mr. C. L. MacDiarmid presided. Miss Thomas, who has for some time been training as a nurse at the Waikato Hospital with a view to qualifying for service in the mission, will be stationed at Heiban, in the Kordosan province. A number of speakers representing many of the religious bodies of Hamilton spoke ir: appreciation of Miss. Thomas' work, and wished her success. The Hamilton branch of the \otmg Crusaders' Movement presented Miss Thomas with a Bible.
