The country rock is very firm and v.e expect a change of country as the riso is advanced.. With softer country values should come in. Moanataiari. —The drive south on the No, 1 reef was advanced 3ft. The reef i 3 \vido and is carrying nice minerals. The drive north on No. 2 reef was extended 4ft. The reef is bearing away to the left and is a very strong body of ore and is' wider than the drive. The reef is well mineralised and ,i. few colours of gold were seen. AVe fired a round of holes on No. 2 reef going south. The formation is wider than the drive and has a very promising appearance. Alburnia.—'The drive north on tho hangingwall branch of tho Orlando lode has been driven 4ft., a total of 321 ft. This branch is still small.
