McTnlosh, collector of customs, said accused admitted having paid £l5O to an agent in Sydney to liavo him smuggled into New Zealand. lie had landed at Wellington and worked on several properties of his countrymen. Ho was seen on the limited express in Auckland on Thursday night, and was arrested by the police at Tamnaruriui.
