The presentation of a gold watch-chain £ and a gold-mounted fountain pen wa ® made to Mr. J. J. Murray, accountant of the. Post Office Savings Bank at Auckland} on tho occasion of lus retirement on supc animation after 40 years' service. Tlw presentation was made at a gathering 0 officers of the Post and Telegraph Depart tnent on Saturday evening by the chi? postmaster, Mr. H. B.
