NEW FORM OF STATE AID.
PROTEST BY BUSINESS MEN. (Received May 2, 5.15 p.m.) "WASHINGTON. May 1. The chairman of the Federal Farm Board, Mr. L egge, states that the tentative outline has been drawn of an endowed institution, with a capital of at least £2,000.000, to aid agriculture through research work and other forms of service. It will be created in the near future'.
The United States Chamber of Commerce has passed a resolution demanding that the Federal Farm Board shall cease Government money, either to aid the fa rmers' co-operative associations in marketing crops, or for guying and selling commodities for the purpose of stabilising the crops.
