TAKAPUNA CLUB. RESULTS OF COMPETITIONS. Following are the results of club competitions played by members of the Takapuna Lawn Tennis Club 011 Saturday:— Men's singles championship final,: N. Hume beat D. Hume, G—3, G—2, G—o. Ladies' singles championship: Mrs. Evans beat Mrs. Martin, G—o. 6—l. Ladies' doubles handicap, final; Mrs. Sullivan and Aliss O'Neill beat Mrs. Crosher and Mrs. Bowden, G —4, G—2. Men's doubles handicap: N. and D. Hume beat Everton and Gamble, 7—5, 6—2. Men's singles handicap, final: Gamble beat Bnrtram, 2—G. G—2, G—3. Ladies' singles handicap, final: Mrs. Wiseman beat Mrs. Mowbray, G—s. G.2. Combined doubles handicap): Mrs. Howe and Hume beat Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan, GO to 5G Tho school-children's events, which have been in progress on the Taknpuna lawn for Rome weeks, were brought to an issue on Saturday, and terminated as follows:—Girls' championship, semi-final: Minna Yarnton beat Margaret Bartrum, Nancy Clark beat Emily Yarnton. Final: Minna Yarnton beat Nancy Clark. Boys' championship: Tony Blair beat Leo Amodeo. Boys' doubles, semi-final; Tony Blair nnd Leo Amodeo beat Jack West nnd G. Yarnton; E. Everton and Stewart Foot beat Pascoe and O'Donnell. Final: Blair and Amodeo beat Everton nnd Foot. Girls' doubles, final; Won by M. Collins and M. Goddard. WIN FOR METHODISTS. A match between tho Takapuna Club and the Takapuna Mothodist Club was played on Saturday, and resulted in an easy win for tho Methodists by nino games to 0110. Tho results of the sets were as follows, with Mothodist names first;— Ladies' singles: Airs. Thomas lost <0 Miss Bcstic, Mrs. Everist beat Miss Lorio. Men's singles; G. Collins beat Gamble, Nicholson beat Bartrum. Men's doubles: Nicholson and G. Collins beat Gambol nnd Bartrum, Richards and Preston beat Brown and Best. Combined doubles: Mrs. Cameron nnd Preston beat Miss Gamble find Brown, Mrs. Jonos and Richards bout Mrs. Davidson and Best, Lndies 1 doubles: Mrs. Thomns nnd Mrs Forrest beat Miss Bestio and Miss Lorio, Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Cameron beat Mrs. Davidson and Miss Gamble. NGATARINGA CLUB FUNCTION. . Tho Ngataringa Lawn Tennis Club held its annual prize-giving At Homo 011 Saturday afternoon. Tho president. Mr. C. Browne, gave a brief address and tho Mayor of Dovonport, Mr, E. Aldridge, presented the prizes. Following are tho results of tho club championships:— Ladies' championship, Miss K, Johnson; ladies' championship doubles, Miss H. Lewi 11 and Miss K. Johnson; Kolin trophy for ladies' handicap singles, Miss M. Wnddell; Indies' Stewart Dawson Cup open handicap singles. Miss N. Hughes; ladies' handicap doubles, Miss Z. Smith niul Mins P.
