SHIRES—RUDMAN.

The marriago of Miss Gwen Rudman, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Rudman, of Mount Eden, to Mr. S. Shires, of Whakahora, was celebrated at. St. Luke's .Church, Mount Albert, on Thursday evening. Tho Rev. J. Beck officiated,

and Mr. A. E. E. Dodd presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a wido ankle-length frock of flesh pink georgette, with a long tight-fitting bodice and flounced skirt. Her pale pink tulle veil was held in place with a silver Juliette cap, caught with pink orange blossom. The bridesmaids were Miss Winnie Todd and Miss Rona Rutherford, who. wore turquoise blue satin frocks and silver Juliette caps. Flu: bridegroom was attended by Mi"- W. Rudman as best man, and Mr. Rutherford was groomsman. Mrs. Budman, mother of the bride, wore a frock of blue flowered taffeta. CARROLL—STEWART. A wedding of interest in theatrical circles was celebrated yesterday afternoon at the Auckland Registry Office, when Mr. Garnet Carroll, manager of tho Freddie Forbes Musical Comedy Company, and acting-manager of St. James' Theatre, was married to Miss Catherine Stewart, principal lady of the Forbes Company. The bride wore an ensemble of brown panne velvet and beige georgette, with a mink fur coat and beige helmet hat. She carnor] o bouquet of xvhifc flower?. Mrs. r. Forbes accompanied the bride, wearing a grey tailored suit and a close-fitting blue felt" hat She. carried a bouquet of white carnations. Miss Margaret Duncan wore a navy blue georgette frock with a hat to match, and "carried a bouquet of pink flowers. With tho bridegroom were .Mr. Ray Fuller and Mr. B. 11. Webber. A small reception was afterwards held at tho Albert Hotel, the hostess, Mrs. Webber, wearing a navy blue floral satin frock with, a coat and hat to tone.
