BOWLING.
ROCKY NOOK FUNCTION.
Tho Mental Hospital bowlers were the guests of the Rocky Nook Bowling Club on Thursday. Mr. J. Jenkin, in welcoming the visitors, referred to the pleasant associations between the two clubs extending over a period of 20 years. Ho also remarked on the evident changes in both clubs' teams during that period. Four rinks played matches each club winning two games,'but Rocky Nook was successful on tho aggregate, tlio scores being 85 to 73.
WHANGAREI TOURNAMENT. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN COBRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI, Friday. Tho Thursday section of the Kensington Bowling Club's wind-up tournament was played ycsterdSy. Ono team from Whangarei, two from Hikurangi and five from Kensington competed. Tho section was won by Clark, Heyward, Stringer and Simons, with tlireo straight-out wins. This team will play the winners of tho Saturday section in the final.
