BUSINESS COMPETITION. ADELAIDE CRITIC'S VIEWS. VANCOUVER, March 30. Mr. Guy W. Holcombe, magistrate, of Port Adelaide, was interviewed to-day on his arrival at Vancouver. Ho said unemployment as an economic condition in Australia was extremely bad. The States had entered into many phases of business in competition with private capital, in many cases with little success. Deficits wero produced by State butcheries and bakeries. Often men who would have been weeded out of private business for inefficiency had been allowed to continue in Government positions. The deficit on State railways Mr. Holcombe blamed oil motor competition.
