SWEPT OUT TO SEA.

TWO PEOPLE DROWNED. FATHER RESCUES DAUGHTER. SYDNEY. Mnrcli 31. Two lives were lost off Black Head beach, near Ballina, about 350 miles north of Sydney. The victims were Mrs. Piorcey and Mr. Nott. Tlicy were caught in a strong undertow, swept out to sea and drowned. Mr. Piercey was able to rescue his daughter, who was also in difficulties. Mr. Nott's body has not been recovered.
