The eleventh annual reunion and picnic of the Star of Eden Lodge, 1.0. F., was held on Saturday at Motiitapu. About SSO members and friends journeyed by the morning boat, while about 200 more, whose business interests kept them in town, followed by a later boat. Lollies and toys for tho "children helped to brighten tho journey down, and, although the mornlug was dull, the day proved an ideal one for tho. occasion. Under tho leadership of Bro. Percy Evans, the popular secretary, arid his hard-working committee, things went with a swing. Tho morning was given up to the children's sports, much fun being caused by a bun-eating competition. Shortly after tho arrival of the afternoon boat, the adult sports were held, all the events attracting largo entries and being keenly contested. The prizes are to be presented at a social gathering next Saturday evening. Two minor casualties during tho day were efficiently dealt with by the St. John Ambulance- delegate on duty, to whom the committee's thanks are due.

The Loyal Manurewa Lodge, M.U. T.0.0.F., met last week, in the Parish Hall, a. pood attendance being presided over by tho N.G., Bro. L. Cox. Visitors wero present from Loyal Good Intent, Mount Albert, Parnell and Ranfurly Lodges. A very interesting account of (lie recent conference was given by P.D.Gy.M. Bro. McMillan. At tho conclusion of tho business a very pi .asant social evening was spent in dancing and competitions. Tho public notices competition w;rs won by Sister Palmer, of Loyal Ranfurly Lodge, other winners during the evening being brothers and sisters of Loyal Parnell and Manurewa Lodges. The duties of M.C. were ably carried out by the E.S., Bro. Hilduff, while supper served by the sisters helped to niako the evening most enjoyable.

Tho Endeavour Lodgo, T.0.G.T., held its weekly meeting on Wednesday, the C.T., Bro. Hodgkinson, presiding over a good attendance. Prior to tlie senior meeting tlio Juvenile Temple met and was addressed by Bro. R. Wilson, who kept the young people well amused and interested with an account of his recent travels'. Various working toy models .were exhibited and the children were loath to leave when the time arrived for the sq lior meeting. It was good to soe ti number of the naval brethren from H. 51.5. Dunedin present, a welcome being extended by the C.T. Two now members were initiated and one proposed. The commission of Sister Hodgkinson as superintendent juvenile work being received from grand lodge, she was duly installed into that position by P.C.T. Bro. Williams. A vote of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the lato Bro. A. E. Goodyer, a past grand secretary of the Order, a life member, find one of the finest temperance workers in New Zealand. At the conclusion of the business musical and elocutionary'items were rendered by Miss Higgett. Sisters M. Moore, E. Smithson and J. Hodgkinson and Bros. Dunno and llodgkinson.

Court Aroha, A.0.F., held its fortnightly meeting last week, Bro. J. Kennedy, C.R:„ presiding over a very satisfactory attendance. Great interest is shown in tho deliberations of this court mid pleasure was expressed at the good report presented by tho secretary, which showed the finances to bo in a good state, and also that since tho new year tho membership has been largely johled to. Tho members are now out to rapture the membership banner at present held by Court To Puke. Bro. J. McKinslry was elected as junior woodward, and after the business was finished tho members had a pleasant time with indoor bowls

The Pnnsnnhy Lodge, U.A.0.D., met on iMuivh 24 in tho Druids' Hull, under the leadership e!. the A.D., Bro. Davcy. Visitors were present from Waitemata, Star ■of Newmarket and Eden Lodges. Tho routine business was dealt with in prompt and efficient manner. Responding to tho toast of the visitors, Bro. T. Wilson, P.(J.P., mentioned that during a recent lour of the • G.L. executive, a I'onfconby member, Bro. G. Lctlmby, G.V.P., was encored for a speech ho made, this being the first time in his experience ho Jiad known of such a thing. At tho <-!oso of tho lodge, refreshments we;-o served,, after which a bowling contest for the Martin feathers took place between ilia. Eden and Pousonby Lodges. After n very keen contest, in which a splendid .spirit of healthy rivalry was shown, the holders, Ponsonby, just managed to rotain the trophies.

A very successful social and dance was .'held at New Lynn last Thursday, under ' 1 he auspices .of the Loyal Lynndalo Lodge, "M.U., 1.0.0. F. The visitors included Mr JI 0. I{. Mason, M.P., Bro. Blomley, L'.D.G.M. of the 1.0.0. F., and members ■«>f Loyal Remuera, Loyal Ranfurly, Loyal ]'arnell, and flie local Rechabite, Foresters {tiid 1.0.0.1''. Lodges. The programme for the evening was provided by tho Loyal Remuera Lodge, while the home members supplied the supper. Mr. 11. i.i. ]l.
