NEW HOUSES AT HUTT.
SALES OF CROWN LANDS. PAYMENTS TOTAL £500,000. [by telegraph.—press association.] WELLINGTON, Thursday. Prices paid at sales of Crown lands in Eastern Lower Hutt since August, 1926, have reached a total of £500,000. Twentyfive sales have now taken place and yesterday's was the last big sale. Active building operations which have taken place as tho result of these sales are rapidly transforming the lower part of tho Hutt Valley into a fair-sized city.
