TITIRANGI MAIN ROAD.
Sir, —As one constantly using the Titirangi Road, I have to protest at the lack of provision in keeping those portions in the hands of the contractor in a proper and safe condition for traffic. While every facility must be given to aid this work, there should be a minimum of discomfort and danger to the travelling public. The lack of any one portion of the road being finished to its final grade, and the contractor allowed to tear up any part at will, is a state of affairs that calls for immediate improvement. All the usable routes are bad enough during the present favourable weather. Just what will occur when rain arrives is best loft to the imagination. On several occasions during the past week the service bus gave most of us an experience not readily wished for again, and has even now prevented many from travelling by these popular and most needed services. Constant Traveller.
