DEATH OF CHILD.

KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR. The death of Eunice Amelia Wood, aged six, of 1, Brown Street, Ponsonby, ,who was knocked down by a taxicab on Friday evening, occurred at the Auckland Hospital on Saturday morning. The child sustained severe head and internal injuries. An inquest was opened by the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., and after evidence of identification was taken was adjourned sine die.
