MOVE BY STEEL WORKERS.
REDUCED WAGES SUGGESTED. BERLIN, March 20. Workpeople in Germany have taken seriously to heart the spectre of unemployment. The total number of idle persons is now 3,000j000. The great Becker steel works are faced with either reducing the costs of .production or closing down. The workers approached the directors and suggested a 15 per cent, cut in wages, which would mefln a saving of £60.000 on the yearly bill of £400,000.
