MANUKAU AMATEUR CLUB.

FIXTURES FOR THE SEASON.

At a meeting of tho Manukau Amateur Cycling Club attention was given to the road programme for the forthcoming season, which it is hoped to- commence on Saturday, April 26. The following list of events was, drawn up for tho senior division riders:—

April 26.—11 miles senior handicap. May 3.—17 miles senior handicap. May 10: 22 miles senior handicap. May 17: 28 miles senior handicap. May 24: 11 miles senior handicap. May 31: 22 miles time trial, sealed- handicap. June 7.—34 miles handicap. June .14: 17 miles handicap, Juno 21: 21 miles, two laps of Ihumatao circuit. June 28: 11 miles handicap.

July 5.—22 miles handicap. July 12: 17 miles handicap. July 19: 25 miles to Papakura. July 26: 22 miles time trial, sealed handicap.

August 2.—11 miles championship. August 9 : 17 miles handicap. August 16 : 27 miles Tamaki circuit. August 23: 22 miles handicap. August 30: 34 miles handicap. .September 6.—17 miles handicap. September 13: 23 miles handicap. September 20: 50 miles Auckland championship, Clevcdon course. September 27: 11 miles handicap. October 4.—Cotter Cup, 17 miles handicap. October 11 : 100 miles, Cambridge to Auckland. October 18: 22 miles consolation handicap. October 25: 5j miles handicap. For the juniors a race will he held every week. A departure from the usual weekly 5-£ miles handicap around the Mangere tar-sealed circuit will be an eleven mile handicap each month. The junior miles championship will be decided on August 9. All the senior handicaps will be held over the Mangere course, a lap of which measures s' s miles, where not otherwise stated. _ , , Acting on advice from the rsew Zealand Amateur Athletic Association the East Tamaki Club have been compelled to refuse entries from members of the Manukau Club with the result that the one cycling event included on the programme for this afternoon's meeting at East Tamaki will be confined solely to local cyclists. . A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. G. H. Lethaby for the presentation of two cups for competition among the members and also to the Otahuhu Sports Association fpr the, gift of threes medals.
