BOUND AFTER ROUND.
The Puddetone Amateur _ Dramatic Society was attempting to _ give a production of " The Forty Thieves m the local village hall. On the rise of the curtain the producer found that only quarter of the thieves were present. The difficulty was soon got over, however by the ten thieves entering the stage on the left, walking .across to tlio St, and then running behind the scenes and attaching themselves to tho end of the line, thus making it appear that L.e whole complement of thieves was present. Unfortunately, one of tho tea had a slight limp, aiul as ho crossed the stage for the fourth time, a wagun the'Rallery,;;; called out in no uncertain !• Cheer up, limpy—last, lapi"
