In the course of a further interview Sir Hubert Wilkins said he hoped to visit Australia as soon as possible to discuss the establishment of weather stations in the Antarctic and other matters. Sir Hubert said that on his Arctic expedition ten men would be taken in the submarine. He discussed with enthusiasm the benefits to be derived by northern countries, especially Canada, Alaska and Russia, if commercial undersea c.-aft could be developed to carry cargoes be T neath the ice, which he believed to be possible.
