CINDER TRACK RACING.
WESTERN SPRINGS EVENTS.
A record attendance is expected at the Western Springs Speedway to-morrow evening when Miss Fay Taylour will make her final appearance in New Zealand. Miss Taylour has just concluded a particularly successful visit to the southern tracks, and since her last visit to Auckland has defeated many well-known riders iu other centres. She arrived in Auckland yesterday and her Douglas D.T. mount will be specially tuned for tomorrow's meeting. Miss Taylour s clever riding during her last Auckland visit drew spectators totalling nearly 20,000 to the Speedway, and she was given a rousing reception after her successful match races with the best of the local men. Tomorrow evening Miss Taylour will take part in a largo number of events, and sho should prove a worthy rival for B. Bray, whoso success was a feature ot last Saturday's meeting. Another visiting rider, S. Perkins, of Australia, will also make his final appearance in Auckland to-morrow. Ho was handicapped by engine trouhlq at tho last meeting, hut tho fault has been remedied and his machi.no is now in first-class order. M. Graham, ono of the Wentworth Speedway champions, will also tako part. Miss Taylour, who saw him riding on southern tracks, was impressed with his skill and lie should bo well matched against Peikins. , , „ The local men have had fine weather for practising during the week and tomorrow should see a repetition of the close finishes which made the last meeting one of the best of tho season.
