PAYMENTS BY BRITAIN. ■ ■ ll revenue from duties. LONDON, March 18. Mr.'Philip Snowden, Chancellor of the Exchequer, in the course of a written reply to a question in the House of Commons, stated that since 1924-25 the yearly' redemption of the dead-weight national debt had been £60,121,000, £53,805,003, £28,226,000, £70,302,000 and £58',898,000. In reply to another question Mr. Snowden -said the revenue from duties on foreign manufactures imported into Britain was £12,422,000 for the year ended February 28, 1929, and £12,782,000 for the year ended February 28, 1930. v
