ROBBED BY ARMED MEN.
SYDNEY TAXI-DRIVER.
ASSAILANTS STEAL CAB. Two armed men robbed a taxi-driver in Sydney last week and stole his cab. John Coleman, a taxi-driver, was engaged by two men at the railway station to take them to Sussex Street wharf. The neighbourhood was practically deserted when the men ordered the driver to stop. One of the men quickly jumped from the car, and as Coleman turned round to collect his fare he was astounded to see a revolver levelled at his head.
"Don't move," the man said. "Give me your money." Coleman handed over the day's takings, amounting to £2 12s. "Now get out of the car," the man ordered. As Coleman got up to obey the order the second man roughly pushed him on to the roadway. Both men then entered tho cab and drove off at a high speed toward Miller's Point.
