FAREWELL TO MISS STREET*
A farewell to Miss M. Jennie Street, field secretary of the National Christian Endeavour Union of Great Britain, who for -the past year has been touring New Zealand in the interests of the movement, was tendered by a large gathering of representatives of Auckland Christian Endeavour unions in the Baptist Tabernacle, Upper Queen Street, last evening. Hie Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher, president of the New Zealand Union, presided. „ Mr. Fletcher presented to Miss Street greetings from Christian Endeavour societies in all parts of New Zealand. Ha referred to the great work accomplished by her during the tour, and the advancement the movement had made through her efforts. Miss Street also received a, New Zealand flag, which, at the request of the German union, will be taken with her to the world convention to be held in Berlin this year. On behalf of the New Zealand Union, Mr. Fletcher presented Miss Street with a cheque. Other presentations were a rug, a replica of that given to the Duke of York, from the New Zealand Union; and a travelling bag and inscribed banner from the Auckland -Federation of Christian Endeavour Unions. Miss Street thanked the various individuals and bodies which had made possible the success of her campaign.
Miss Street will leave to-morrov/ to conduct a campaign in Australia.
