SYSTEM OF PAYMENT.
NEW SOUTH WALES CHANGE.
SYDNEY, March 17.
The New South Wales Government is said to be contemplating a change in the railway service in regard to employees governed by awards of the Federal Arbitration Court. Under these they are paid for a 48-hour week though they only work 44 hours. Now it is proposed to pay the employees for the actual time worked, thereby saving £BOO,OCD.a year.
