COMPETITIONS SOCIETY.
Sir, —In your Saturday's issue mention was made that the Auckland Competitions Society would hold its meeting this week and that there was very little hope of the prize winners obtaining their prize money. Might I suggest that the society, if unable to meet its obligations, issue a certificate to the competitors who were successful. This would cost very little and would be some compensation for the time and expense incurred by the competitors. Pbize Winner.
